- Can we arrive before 17 September (the start date of the Congress) and stay at the Centro Giovanni XXIII in Frascati (Rome)?
Registration via our website only allows for arrival on Thursday, 17 September (or Friday, 18 September) and departure on Sunday, 20 September.
Anyone wishing to arrive before 17 September must contact the centre directly at reception@centrogiovanni23.it to make their own arrangements. Given the centre's large capacity, we believe there should be no issues.
- Is it possible to stay in the location after 20 September, which is the end date of the Congress?
Registration through our website only allows arrival on Thursday 17 or Friday 18 September, and departure on 20 September.
Guests wishing to extend their stay beyond 20 September can arrange this directly with the centre. Due to the centre’s large capacity, this should not be a problem.
- Can excursions or guided tours in Rome or Frascati be booked?
The Congress organisation does not provide the possibility to arrange trips or guided tours. Participants will need to organise these independently.
- Can I register for the Congress only and arrange my own accommodation and meals?
Yes, you can register for the Congress and organise your own accommodation and meals.
- Is it possible to use the meal service only, without staying at the Centro Giovanni XXIII where the congress is being held?
Yes, send an email to esc2026@europeanshiatsucongress.eu, specifying which meals you wish to book, as well as any intolerances, allergies or specific dietary requirements.
Meals cost €20 each, and payment is made upon arrival at the ESC Welcome Desk, where you will check in.
- Can family members who are not registered attendees stay at the Congress venue and share the same room?
Yes, as long as they share the same room, family members can be registered for accommodation only, even if they are not attending the Congress. However, due to the limited number of rooms, priority for accommodation is given to Congress participants.
- Are there any outdoor spaces available for practising, walking and breathing in nature?
Yes, the facility has large outdoor areas, primarily olive groves, where you can walk and practise while enjoying the natural surroundings.
- How far is Frascati (Rome) train station from the venue?
The Centro Giovanni XXIII is 1.4 kilometres (1,400 metres) from Frascati (Rome) train station.
- How can I reach the Congress venue in Frascati (Rome)?
The Congress venue in Frascati (Rome) is located 29 km from Rome. It is easily accessible by train, which departs from Termini Station approximately every hour and takes about 30 minutes.
- How can I reach the Congress venue in Frascati (Rome) from Fiumicino Airport?
From Fiumicino Airport, you can reach Termini Station either by train (Leonardo Express) or by bus (Terravision, Sit Bus Shuttle, Schiaffini).
Buses take about 50 minutes to 1 hour and cost approximately €7.
The Leonardo Express train to Termini Station departs every 20 minutes, makes no intermediate stops, costs €14, and takes 32 minutes.
Once at Termini Station, take the train to Frascati (Rome).
Frascati (Rome) train station is 1.4 km from the Congress venue and can be reached on foot, by bus, or by taxi.
- How can I reach the Congress venue from Ciampino Airport?
You can take a bus (Terravision, Sit Bus Shuttle, Schiaffini) to Termini Station, which costs around €6 and takes about 40 minutes, then take the train to Frascati.
Alternatively, with a single 100-minute ticket costing €1.50, you can take bus 520 to the Cinecittà stop, then Metro Line A (direction Battistini) to Termini Station, and finally the train to Frascati.
